Custom Printed Labels for Consumer Goods packagin - part 1
A CUSTOM PRINTED LABEL isn’t something that you might necessarily pay attention to or put much thought to, but when you stop and really look around, you realize that custom printed labels are on products that you see or interact with everyday. Custom printed labels on products are all around you. They are literally everywhere!
Let’s take a trip through your home. Look next to the kitchen sink or next to the stove. You will see cleaning supplies and spices for cooking. Open up the refrigerator and wow! Just look at all of the food and beverage items that have a label on them. How about in your bathrooms or bedroom – tons of items like shampoo, skin care and other personal care items. And finally, the garage or shed – wherever you keep your cleaning or industrial supplies. Yup, labels are on all kinds of products there as well.
There are literally hundreds of items in your living space that utilize a custom printed labels as a means of decorating/branding and providing customer information on all types of packaging.
A CUSTOM PRINTED LABEL is the easiest and lowest entry into the market when it comes to bringing a product to market. Labels provide flexible and sensible strategies when you are considering your label and marketing campaigns. Custom printed labels allow the brand versatile options to create the all-important interruption, opportunity to tell their story that will hopefully conclude with a consumer trial/purchase of the product, and then ultimately, a faithful repeat customer.
“Remember, a consumer does not become a customer until they come back and make the SECOND purchase”. – Harold Taber – Retired CEO- HANSEN’S BEVERAGE/MONSTER ENERGY
WHAT TYPE OF LABEL IS RIGHT FOR ME?
WHAT – Is the label going to be applied to a RIGID surface or something that is FLEXIBLE or SQUEEZABLE?
HOW – Will the labels be applied by hand or by machine? This is very important when we talk about COPY POSITION. (See below).
WHERE – Is the label going to be exposed to a refrigerated or frozen environment or just room temp/ambient environments. Will it have to be sustainable to submersion under water or ice?
WHEN – Does the label get applied prior to or after the contents of the packaging is filled? Is it applied in a moist or cold environment or on a hot fill glass?
There are MANY other considerations when addressing all of your labels requirements which I will address in PART 2 of this blog at a later date. CLIKE HERE to download a FREE specification tool I call a “DISCOVERY SHEET”.
